The 7-Week Blissborn "Plus" Childbirth Class

Why have we gone from a 5-Week Childbirth Class to a 7-Week Childbirth Class?

The 5 week Blissborn class covers the coping techniques you need for a more empowering and comfortable birth experience (with additional topics to read at home in your parent manual). However, we know that having someone present in class to share that information with you and answer your questions can be especially valuable. For that reason, Nancy Wainer, CPM, and I have chosen to bring back Blissborn "Plus", which will include more discussion time, additional information, and stories and slideshows depicting real women and their birth partners in labor and birth. We are excited to be bring this class back into circulation!

That said, we know that you may not be able to make it to every class- and that is ok! The time frame of the longer class series is one of the reasons we transitioned away from a 7 or 8 week class and towards a 5 week class. We didn't want you to feel like you were committing to something "too long"... something that you might not be able to fit into your already busy life. Our approach is a fresh new one this time around! We want to pass the decision making along to you. We will be present for 7 weeks of class to share our knowledge and expertise with you, and we acknowledge that you may miss a week or two of class. We will do our best to connect you with the resources you need to catch up on any missed material. We are confident that despite any absences, you will leave class with a lot of valuable information!

What can you expect moving forward?

Just as we had done in the past, you will likely find that the 4 seasonally offered childbirth classes offered by One Love Childbirth Services will alternate between the 5-Week Blissborn Class, and the 7-Week Blissborn "Plus" Class.

To register online, visit One Love Childbirth Services.

Hoping to see you soon,

Emily
